....was dead when we were there. mambo full to the rafters tho. Next place past CDM also full.

What has happened? was this a one off or is the place doomed (it would have appeared)

I have never liked it, always better in Mambo's but its nice to go in Cafe Del Mar and sit inside for a drink just for a 'I was there' moment.

Very small but very nice inside!

Grego - about midnightish. It was strange, the bars around were fine but Cafe Del mar was silent. Maybe it was a one off

Sugar Sea allegedly only bought by Mambo/Savvanah owner Javier so there'd be no competition there.

kanya is brilliant i got yopped in in 99 and whitied there! Big time!

Yup, I like the new Kanya too - they have a good chunky sound system and played some great stuff loud during the day when I was there (the other day).

The new promenade is a big improvement (though the fun of finding the path through the scrub has gone!). Just watch you don't do what I did and bring an obvious white bag with drink in and sit on Mambos terrace thing overlooking the rocks - I had 3 or 4 staff members hassle me, even though I'd bought a 'genuine' drink from Mambos!
