Buying a new mixer advice please.

So my mixer is knackered  Looks like I got shafted with the set up I bought but never mind no point going on about it. Was thinking of spending £200ish and then saw the pioneer DJM250, anyone used it or know owt about it?

Looks like a nice simple 2 channel mixer but I dont really know how good it will perform. I will be using with vinyl and in the future thinking about some monitors to go with it....are the ones I see for £100-150 any good? I just want to play and record mixes for now in the comfort of my living room possibly adding a CDJ in the future. Gota cheap DVS and dont like it so going to start buying vinyl in a couple of weeks got loads in my "want list" already.
Is this a decent enough beginner mixer then? Not too complicated to get the basics right etc.
If any one has any recommendations for cheaper ones of equal quality then give us your knowledge, I am not buying second hand again though after ebay stitched me up would rather save and buy new. Tar. :)

Have a look at the numark or gemini range. Excellent starter and entry mixers priced well and relaible. I still have my numark mixer from when I started 20 years ago!

Thanks, I have looked but nothing has jumped out and took my eye. There are lots of other brands that once you get over the £100 mark start to be littered with crap I will never use such as fx etc. The thing I liked about this mixer is the professional features that the others in the lower price range dont come with. It is only for the living room at the minute but would be nice to get something a bit better then crap as I dont intend on buying another for a while. Got a long way to go with the basics :lol:

Ok here is a shot in the dark for you ..... Numark Idjlive ... What u think?
It looks like a controller for an ipod/pad which is of no use to me as I have a set of turntables :) Unless I have found the wrong product :D
Just thinking if I can get a mixer for £100 I have more cash for vinyl, but the djm 250 looks so nice if I do buy it I would want a lot of performance from it. Hence me trying to research myoptions before I have the cash to buy it in a couple of weeks.

Ecler Nuo 2.0 is meant to be the best around for the price, sound quality wise. Allen & Heath Xone 22 also is said to be better than the Pioneer range for the same reason.

Been told that the zone 22 build quality isnt great, compared with the pioneer. Then I did a search on your recommendation and it appears almost faultless for its price, although it is £300 so I dont know whether to pay out a bit more or not. I guess if it is worth it for lasting longer then the others for the use I'll give it then its worth it. Thanks.
