buses

comming out in august for 2 weeks & wondered if the buses are worth bothering with?
to keep costs down we thought about using the buses instead of taxis everywhere, we will probally hire a car for the odd day or 2 also . do they run roughly to a time table or just turn up whenever
 
well it really depends where you are staying and where you fancy going,that info would help me out,either by saying yes or get a car.
