Without hiring a car, how easy is it to get around Ibiza using buses, can you get a bus from, say San An to for instance Playa En Bossa and Ibiza Town........ if so, how much is it for buses and taxis......... and do buses run regulary.......

Many Thanks.........

There is a really good section on the Ibiza Spotlight site which covers the issues you enquire about.

There is a link to the Ibiza bus timetables which contains maps telling you the areas you can get to plus times of travel.

Don't forget the ferries too . .they can be useful.

The buses are really cheap.

San An to Ibiza is direct , San An to PDB you have to change in ibiza Town

Interurbanas (destination outside the municipio/town of departure)

Minimum fare, Day = 2.80 €, night (9 pm to 6 am) = 4.60 €
Plus 0.80 cents/km
Waiting time 11 € / hour
Supplement from the airport/port: 1.10€

We paid 3 different taxis 3 different prices for the same run; they were following each other. How come?

No more taxi for me; they rip ya off but they're dangerous driving.
A taxi back from Amnesia last year did it for me; crazy drivers they should be fined

I got a taxi from San An to Space in PDB, was about 20 euro's if I remember rightly, drivers not very friendly but driving was fine.

drivers not very friendly
You telling me! I speak Spanish as I'm from Uruguay. On the way to La Troya last year, I get talking to the driver about the season so far.
I'm sitting in the front seat, girlfriend and two very silly friends in the back seat.
I had dropped one about half an hour before, and was feelin it a little.
All of a sudden he starts lecturing me on how stupid the english are, and what a disgrace they are...blah...blah...blah.
In the back seat my friends are unaware of the heated debate taking place in the front seat. Spanish always sounds like people are having a go at each other anyway no?
I'm trying to reason with him, saying not all brits are the same, some are here for the beauty of the island and not all are caners.
At that point one of my friends starts a sing-a-long throwing his arms around everywhere, and the other two join in.
Terrible journey, but part of the Ibiza experience.

That's about the same I paid from PDB to San An, 18-20 euros.
Most of them are not that friendly, if you don't relate to them. I started talking with them and just agreed on what they had to say, and they were very nice. :D

One of them told me that the people of Ibiza are very close people, they keep to them selfs.

Yeah the guy we had a few days ago was really nice, he thinks there is a magic to Ibiza...and actually explained to us why he thinks it's the water that makes the people so nice!!??!! But still, he gave us a discount, we gave him a tip, everybody's happy.
