hey everyone..

So im looking for detials for the early morning buses from Playa de bossa to San antonio? I think we need to change in Ibiza town... but its in May on a Monday morning.
Basically we heading to Space opening Fiesta and the girls are too tight to pay the taxi home again in the morning and wondered what time buses start heehee..

I heard its good fun down playa de bossa beach during the day.. what time do people normally start arriving... and when do shops start to sell drink??? :p

thanks everyone this website is awesome for advice.. :D:D:D

thanks for this.. out of interest do most bus speakers speak english? I can try learning the lingo for please take us to ibizia town..
is it obvious when you have to get off the bus? we have never been before and likely to still be inhebriated or zombies from night before..
thanks

Just hand over your money,it was 1.45 last year.
When you are at the bus station (a busy street basically) everyone will get off, walk forward from the bus till you see a ticket office (which includes a cafe/bar and toilets)go to the San An window and ask for your destination, was 1.75 last year, turn right onto the street and wait at the #3 stop just before the traffic lights, good luck!

like don says go inside office.about 500 yards from where you get off.go inside on the left last box it is.

Screw getting the bus.

You are on holiday, not on your way to work.

Just have one less drink in Space that will nearly cover the cab for four people.

hahaha :) i like your style Andy..
unfortunatly when you come on a hen weekend there are always those that have saved and brought enough for a mad one and those that havent got their tickets yet or paid for their hotel with 2 weeks to go..
So as Chief Bridesmaid i am in charge of making sure we can get the tight asses home safely..:lol::lol: which in itself if hilarious as I am sure i will still be on the beach with a bottle of OVD in the early evening of Monday.

thanks all for your help..

If I'm honest, I agree with Andy - life's too short to waste it waiting for buses and schlepping about whilst trollied (thus walking at least twice as far as necessary ;)).

We caught two buses home from Space one time - I didn't notice how long it took - it was fine, but I'm sure my sober boyfriend found it quite boring! We only did that until we found out that it was only about E12 back to Talamanca, and haven't done any buses since.

I wouldn't want to try to get home on public transport without the sober boyfriend - let's put it like that. They had to put up barriers on the highway at Amnesia and Privilege to stop clubbers from being run over when going from one club to the other. [Aside: so I'm reliably told by people who live on the island, although no doubt someone on this forum will tell me I'm talking rubbish because I wasn't actually present at the council meeting where it was decided and the works commissioned].

Point is: please consider (as I'm sure you will) everyone's personal safety given that they may have had something a little stronger than half a shandy which makes them behave in careless or reckless ways. Especially if they're not used to more than a half of shandy. I was literally staggering about in the road on that time coming back from Space, and I'm old enough and ugly enough to know better, but didn't care one bit! I probably would have got mowed down by the bus if it hadn't been for the b/f. ;)

I hope your friends save up so that you can all have a good time - Ibiza aint cheap! 8)

Thanks LTTP - I agree with you all and i have heard some horror stories about people getting nearly run over on the way home. I would want to get a taxi and will try to make sure we do, but some of them have got hardly any money - which annoys the beeejjeeeesus out the three of us that have worked and saved and scraped but i might just pay the fares myself to get everyone home safely.
but hopefuly i shall still be on a high from my first night in the white isle

I am hoping to use the buses for a wee road trip of sorts.. One night i plan to not go so OTT and see a bit of the beautiful island. I stupidly assumed it was all pubs and clubs etc but some pics are just stunning.. would be a shame not to use the transport availble to check out some other parts. Are the timtables quite easy to understand as i i think its all in catalan?

Yay - now you're getting the vibe ....

Ibiza was a total surprise to us as well. It's really, really beautiful and you'll be so pleased you decided to venture out of San An to see some countryside and other parts of the island. TBH - we completely forget about the whole West End San An thing, cos we stay down near Ibiza town.

Do you drive? I would really recommend getting a car for the day and pottering up north or out west. It's not that expensive, and if there's 4 or 5 of you, will cost next to nothing each. Just make sure you get a deal where you take the car back full, not one where you take it back empty (as we unfortunately did last time and had to do about 400kms or whatever it is to make sure we'd used up all the petrol).

I'm sure there will be no shortage of people on here ready to recommend lovely places to visit. My recommendation would be to go down to Cala Comte for a swim in the beautiful clear waters, and have a drink at Sunset Ashram, then maybe on to Cala D'Hort (is that the right one?) to see Es Vedra - the mysterious and magnetic island. Or, if it was a Sunday, you could go up to Benniraz and hang with the hippies - they sell mojitos on the beach for a mere E2, and there's a bit of an informal market at sunset. I wouldn't buy dinner at the beach bars there tho - very expensive and not terribly good quality.

Also, Ibiza town is great - I love it. Especially pottering along by the port - seeing all the boats that go out to Formentera and Mallorca and the mainland etc. Probably worth coming down for some dinner/drinks before going to Space - there's all kinds of quirkiness going on.

You'll have a great time! (Can you tell how much I love the place ... )

Yeah the more i read the more i like the sound of the place.. i am embarrased i initally thought of it as a more expensive magaluf.....after reading up it sounds just wonderful and so many things for so many people.. cant wait. Hope you have a great one, you will def return after you first trip.

Next time just make sure some of your friends save like you or just leave them behind.

The only thing I'd personally change about Ibiza town, is the bus station, you can tell who the 'new' tourists are cause they are the ones that stay sat down :) , blink and you walk past the ticket offices.
