Merry meet girls, boys, fags, faeries, woodsprites, witches, dreamkeepers and trans folk…Bunker Sessions gatherings are subconsciously playing to the seasons; the nights are drawing in, the veil is thin and the air, crisp. Nature's mirrors are directing us inward to convalesce and reflect.
The woodwork squeaks and out come the freaks. It's fairly apt then, that this mix provided a dungeon soundtrack to London's ‘Queer rites of Samhain' party.
I'm so unbelievably proud of what we put together that eve (l♥ve to you all and thank you for the music!). As usual, there are a lot of flavours here from the avant garde orchestral to trippy dubstep, freeform jazz, reggae, disco and even an abstract human voice choir and Bollywood soundtrack. It's a bit far out in places and listening is both a challenge and a reward so I urge you to stick with it. Genre purists and faddists should leave the auditorium by the nearest available exit.
We are also HONOURED to have a couple of personally selected favourites from none other than Diamanda Galás and Greg Wilson. (I know! :-0)
So, without further ado, tune in, turn on, psyche ooooouuuuut...
