Bugz in the Attic...

What track are you talking about? 'Booty la la'?

bugz in the attic arent anything to do with basement jaxx so whats this about leaving the group and making the same music? bugz in the attic mostly crap on jaxx when it comes to quality though i'm not a particular fan of the aforementioned track. However BITA are a collective so you wont get the same sound on every track, it depends who's writing/engineering it etc.

almost went to sankeys to watch them on fri.

missed them in liverpool a couple of weeks ago. gutted

I havent really listened to 'Booty la la' that much because i thought it was crap but bugz defo arent rip off merchants. They are one of the key players in the broken-beat scene. Their members are probably knock out about half of the scene output through various different collaborations and aliases!! Its not a massive scene though :)

I would give em another chance and check out some more of their material if you like the soulful or jazzy side of things.

They did a fabric album and yeah they did an essential mix:

i don't like thier productions or 'sets'

Each to their own, no need to make evil faces! ;)

I like a bit of BITA, I think their sound is fresh, it's good not hear the same stuff over and over again!

I always try to be open-minded towards "new" musical directions, and I really like a lot of the broken beats stuff, BITA, Agent K, Vikter Duplaix...you name 'em!

dont u think they play a 'proper' set then fusion?
that depends on how u look at it.

I myself didn't like thier EM or any other sets i've heard by them, and trust me i'm very open minded when it comes to electronic music and actually gave them more than 1 chance ;)

as ActionAndy said - each to thier own :D

Ach .. heathens ... Booty La La is PFunk personified .... think George Clinton, Parliament and so on ....
