How is british airways?? that's rpolly what i'm flying because it's cheep... i've never been on one of their planes

BA are not in my good books (had a few bad experiences with them in the past) would only use them if they were doing a cheap deal or something.

They do have quite a good reputation though.

Please don't be put off by my comments though, as most of the time I have flown with them they have been very good and would recommend them on that basis. The problems I have experienced with them are fairly minor, well they seem minor now but I was pretty annoyed at the time.

It's funny how you always remember the bad things over the good things

lol what problems... NOTHING BEATS FLYING TO CALI and the airline forgetting the food....... I DUNNO HOW IT HAPPENED!! but thank god i had to transfer planes haha

They changed the flight times and it was really inconvenient for us, coz we had to get extra time off work etc and BA were particularly unhelpful and we just found it incredibly rude and cheeky.

There was another time when we were delayed in Tenerife and missed our connecting flight from Gatwick to Jersey, which wasn't BA's fault but my boyfriend had to have an emergency operation whilst we were on holiday (absolute nightmare, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy) and he couldn't even walk and BA were just rude and unhelpful and made us wait a further 8 hrs before we could fly home. They wouldn't even put us on standby for next flight. Even though I know there wasn't much they could do I would definately say that there customer service was not up to scratch.

I have actually just read an article in the paper about BA saying that they were one of the worst holiday airlines last summer for puntuality.

I work for them so I guess that makes me biased when I say they are really good.....
Most of the time I'm flying international long-haul though, and we are a lot better than many of the other carriers I've been on.
Although, I can admit to that I've dealt with some unhappy passengers due to one-off mishandlings....
On a whole though, if you're planning on spending more than 6hrs on an aircraft then you may as well do it in comfort and at least you get you're own TV!!!

God damn! you should have sued their arses!

Ya and each TV is showing about 8 movies and a few sitcoms and the BBC news....it's pretty good I must say.....
You're not bothered by watching the boring double feature that is always some movie that barely made it to box office!!!

do they charge for the movies? lol and are they in coach? lol cause i am NOTTTTTT paying for 1st class! lol i'd rather spend more money in ibiza!

No there is no charge for anything on our flights unless you're planning to buy duty free...and I don't know where you want to fly from but right there is a sale on from a lot of the US Gateways until Feb05......
In regards to the Al Qaeda targets...unfortunately all of the traffic into the US is a target, irrespective of the carrier....and from what we've experienced in the past while have been a lot of flights being cancelled into the Washington Dulles Airport (DC) because of certain threats...every thing else has been normal operations.....to other cities I mean.

BA

I fly BA almost every week and on the whole their service is very good although you can get problems on the ground as with any other airline. They fly to Ibiza from Gatwick for part of the week but you can also go Heathrow to Ibiza via either Madrid or Barcelona although that puts you on an Iberia plane............that's another topic for discussion !
