hello,

we're going to barcelona for sonar and my b-day, and would like to find a bit better hotel, 4-5 stars and in a nice area. can anyone recommend one?

conde nast and tripadvisor just get me confused :lol: cheers!

We stayed in Banys Orientals Petraax - fab location and lovely hotel - try and stay in a suite there, they are much nicer and bigger and not that much more expensive than the normal rooms.
 
If there are a few of you, why not rent an apartment? There are some truly stunning, luxurious ones which work out as far better value than a hotel.

I love this site: http://www.bcninternet.com/ (I stayed in the featured one for Sonar 2005 and it was just amazing).
 
The Camper Hotel in La Raval district is beautiful- free food and smoothies all day...nice big room, with a private chill out room adjoined- complete with hammock, views of the city, and CD player etc. pretty much in the centre too.
