Hi

Any of you Spotlighters stayed in Bossa Park in PDB recentley? Views?

yep. 5 of us stayed A.I for a week last year.
Location is very good and was the main draw for us going and we got it super cheap as well.
Its not particularly nice but it did the job for us. We were down the beach rather than by the pool more often than not. They have sandwiches u can have for snacks. The meals are hit n miss. First evening we were all quite impressed but other days was pretty bad. Dont think it was that busy when we were there not loads of noise or anything.
The A.I thing did save us a fair bit of cash

thanks for that!

You know my feelings! Cheap (we paid £44 each for 5 nights!), in a reasonable location but would only use as somewhere to sleep. I wouldn't go all-inclusive even if it was somewhere nice, I ruined a holiday in Ibiza a few years ago doing that. If I am at the hotel I could be anywhere in the med, I want to get myself immersed in the delights of the island. . . . .

well i stayed in Piscis Park last year so anywhere would be an improvement, so no stories on people being robbed then? Ha ha

I have amazingly not been robbed in my 16 visits or have met anyone else who has (not their rooms anyway, my mate got mugged by gaggle of hookers last summer). There are even stories about people getting gassed in their rooms, what a sack of ****. Although it would make a good excuse for looking rough and being broke a couple of days into your holiday.

well we read a lot of horror stories abett Piscis Park after Booking it, but it was fine, it's a bit of a sh1t hole but for 50p a week or whatever it was it was ok. Few too many Chavs at the pool, but it was a nice walk to Cafe Mambo, which was my favourite place on the island, will be a miss not going there every night, but will make the journey at least once ;)

No i was worried about security but had no problems and heard of none. To be honest there were more italians than english at Bossa Park but everyone was fairly well behaved

That is the one downside of PDB, I do miss Mambos. It used to be good when Coastline first opened, spend the day there then wander down to Mambo's for the sunset

sounds alright then! Cheers

i love Cafe Mambo, i could sit there all day and night and be more than happy, also as I'm sure I've mentioned before doing shots with Louie Vega (check out profile pic) as he played a chilled out Latin house vibe during the sunset has to be the best moment of the trip, how can anything beat that?
I didn't get the same vibe from Bora Bora which was very disappointing, i would probably go further and say the place was rather sh1te, maybe it was just the closing week or just unlucky with the times and days i did go though, hopefully it'll be different this year, if not i can see us back in San An for 2012

I have had some brilliant days at Bora Bora. It used to be better before they put that stupid screen around so early, I am sure the music was louder before as well. The only really bad time I have had there was last year when that ***** Jack Whitehall was there 10 equally twatty friends in matching swimming trunks. Not good.

Ideally you shrink the island so you could walk from Bora Bora to Mambos at about 6pm. I can't see them doing it though, bastards.

most people seem to like Bora Bora, still can't see it being in the same league as Cafe Mambo though!
Hopefully it'll be great this year!
Looking forward to it already, seems ages away though!
