Boring dentist question

I've been searching everywhere for the answer, but cannot find anything online! So thought I'd come to the good ol' Spotlight answerbank :)

Does anyone know if I can register with a non-local dentist? For example one near my mum's house (I've since moved out) or one near work?

Or does it have to be local - i.e would I have to provide some proof of address to register?

I just rang up where my sister recommended, as i hadnt been for a naughty amount of years and they happily booked me in and did the necessary check up etc...so im guessing you can do with the one local to your mum 8)

I'm registered with one in Bristol, and I currently live in Leeds.
It's extra money for them at the end of the day
