Bora Bora - Will it get its act together 2012?

Probably one of my favourite places on the island:)

Its been going steadily downhill and I cant put my finger on "why"

The house/tech house sounds are the same.
The layout is the same (ish, DJ moved)
The drinks prices have not gone up since 2007
One can still dance on tables

Dont get me wrong, I'll still go but its not the same atmos as it used to be. The crowd is different, there are less people early and late evening, in fact all the way through.

Has Space opening times alterered the crowd, thats the only thing I can think of? I dont even think the 4.30pm rule has got a lot to do with it.

Bring back DJ Gee!!!!!!

Bora Bora need to open up the wallet and book some decent well known DJ's until then its going to be the ugly duckling .

bb was never about some decent well known DJ's
most people i know don´t care a bit about who´s in bb´s dj-booth
as long as the music is pumping ...
and - besides dj gee back in the day - don´t know any of the dj-faces or dj-names
playing their ...

Have to adapt to survive though mate.

It shouldn't have to be this way , i guess popular was a bad word. I thought the music was lacking when i went and would love to see better DJ's playing.

Unlike most I missed the all Day parties at Bora Bora, I had my first taste last year but I must say I loved it, for me. I used it as a warm up for going out. I got there about 5 and stayed until 9//10 normally got something to eat too in bora bora or locally.

They should put guest DJ's in there it would be easy to have a night once a week for new talent, I for one would give it ago. 8) you would get new DJ's really giving it ago and brining in something new. However bora is free and this alone means there hands r a bit tied.

Some nights were a lot better than others Tuesday-Friday full but weekends a bit dead. Some people just don't get the free love aspect of it all at bora and like a more covered up controlled environment. But for me anyway meeting people while having a few drinks there was awesome if your solo it's great too as its easy to meet people there.

They could theme there days more to like they do in Blue Marlin but keep it for everyday users not the V.I.P crowd, do some flyer drops around the island. Trouble is everyone else is doing this so they might get caught up and then left behind but I don't see that happening this year tbh 2012.

I've had a couple of good nights inside. It's my mates 40th on 23rd June and he's requested an all day bender at Bora Bora like old times. Lots of fancy dress, fun and games to be had :-)

Hey guys! Me and my friends are heading to Ibiza for a few days on June 21st. We want to hit up Bora Bora during the day on Saturday. But we're wondering if it closes at 12am or if the party go throughout the night? Thanks!
