Bora Bora - No music!...

..Just got a txt from our Ibiza correspondent El Roberto (who sends his kisses) mwah mwah

They have a licensing problem so there is no music there today.
More regulations on the horizon? Possibly. There are far to many new laws and noise pollution complaints and the way the Ibiza Government is trying to strategically reposition itself to the international 'more sophisticated' market means that our rave beach may be at risk.

i was speaking to Gee last night @ meganite about the future of bora bora and he was saying to me that the big clubs like amnesia, space etc have been trying there best to get it closed,..this may not come as a shock for u guys but it was for me. he couldnt answer wether he was going to be doing bora bora next yr. :?

he was advising me to check out brazil and insisted he will be trying to arrange a similar venue to bora bora in brazil.
 
Yep it is true ... but i talked to someone who supposed to be spinning there tonight but no sound! He hopes it gets resolved soon ... damned i'm cancelling my trip tomorrow!

Yeah but flying to brazil or to ibiza is big difference!

its surprising that he said that because, apart from one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, he is also very optimistic.......... :idea:
 
My guess ... it will be closed next year and Space will have a daytime bora bora room ... paying of course (sexyandsoon had the same problem)

If it is I am very disturbed as I'm flying out tomorrow and most looking foward to good a session down at Bora Bora.

Anyway of finding out whether its sorted by now???
 
As soon as McR started talking about neighborhood complaints, I had a sinking feeling this was coming. I'm sure it's the big clubs... and probably the new development next door (I know you don't agree with me on that one, Mr. McR!)

So... Brazil, eh?
 
But could they like open it from 2pm till like8pm that would harm almost no-one and keep some of the charm

Could somebody try and confirm if or when it will be re-opening and the opening times if possible. I fly out tomorrow too. But I,m staying in San An, I'd rather not taxi over to PDB to find that BB is closed.

I'll log on at the airport and when I get to Ibiza for any possible updates.
 
Last word from the dj that was supposed to be spinning there "MAybe sound back soon ..." so NO ONE knows ... not even Gee I suppose
 
Heard it was more to do with the residents complaining that there were to many battered peeps leaving after it finished.... Either way it´s looking like an era is about to end.....

... I was at bora-bora today and talk with one person of the staff, who is a good friend of mine. He told me about problems with the permission. After my opinion, the problem was the big success of the bora-bora in this season. Some days there was simply to many party-people at this place.
In the Ibiza daily newspaper you could read about the complaints of the residents, who lives the whole year in playa d`bossa. So from my point of view, this was the reason, that the coverment check the permission more strictly than the other years. But this is only a personal speculation of mine. The staff told me, that they hope to get back the music in the next one or two days. I will be there tomorrow, and will inform you about it.

i'm arriving there 3 more days.
I really hope Bora Bora will sort out the problems by then and will play music as always, else someone gonna be VERY pissed off here! :evil:

for me Bora Bora is one of the great treasures of the island. Ibiza simply isn't the same without it! :x
