Bora Bora Apartments + Ushuaïa questions

I am thinking of staying at Bora Bora Apartments in early August. My first time in Ibiza. What is Bora Bora like? Some specific questions:

1. What happens there during day (on the beach and at the pool)?
2. Anything specific at Bora Bora Apartments at around sunset time and later?
3. If I want to go to a club like Ushuaïa which I understand is walking distance - can I just buy the tickets when I am at Bora Bora Apartments?
4. What is the dress code at Ushuaïa? I was just thinking, can I stay at the beach and then go to Ushuaïa or do I need to change.

1. daily music beachside. By the pool I assume as well. Sundays is the big party day, programmed by TNL who run Ushuaïa and Hï
2. well it's the wrong side of the island for sunset really, but many of the beach clubs will still be going around this time and there's plenty of bars to choose from along the strip roadside
3. you will be able to buy tickets in resort or on the door, but for the best price you should always buy online in advance. Typically €10 cheaper
4. that really depends on what you wear to the beach and how wet and sandy you are. Officially, the dress code is no swim/beach wear and you need to be wearing a top. I think that's open to interpretation, especially where girls are concerned, but seeing as you'll be staying so close, I would honestly go back to your room for a freshen-up and change of clothes first

1. Not much, people chilling mostly. Music kicks off properly at 4.30pm (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong)
2. As above, music properly starts at 4.30...it should be decent for a few hours. It does move inside later
3. Ushuaia is a stones throw away. Loads of ticket outlets in and around Bossa...look around and check prices as they wont all be the same
4. No dress code for Ushuaia. I would probably not wear flip-flops though unless you want people treading on your feet!

Thanks for the replies. Is there a good place around there for day parties (parties right on the beach with music / dancing)?

Thanks. But if they have a pool and a pool party, how can it be no swimwear? That would be kind of difficult...
it's not really a pool party. the pool is only shallow. knee deep. so you can wade in in your shorts. think of it more as an open-air festival, which happens to have a very small paddling pool

if it's a pool party you are looking for, you should look at Ibiza Rocks, O Beach or Nikki Beach

Bora Bora Apartments seems to have a pool party - at least their web site says that. Is that any good?
I haven't been enough to give you an accurate answer, and far less recently. Though I would still think you will get more of a "pool party" offering from all of the aforementioned

All, thank you very much for the info, it is very useful. I am still looking for some info on Bora Bora Apartments - I made a reservation there but can still change. Is it a good place to stay for 4 nights?

BB apts? I'd say quite young and loud, especially in August.....

I am curious, what is young? What age? I am definitely on the other end of the age spectrum :). What would be a good area for a somewhat older crowd? I do not mind loud, lively, and wild (that's what Ibiza is all about, if I wanted quiet I would not be going to Ibiza), but I guess it would be nicer if the crowd was a bit closer to me in age...

Bora Bora is not a “stay in” hotel - as shared spaces are limited to the pool area and there is no breakfast/dinner area designated only to the hotel, it can be quite empty during the day. People go out to eat and party. There is a DJ at the pool, but sometimes there are really a handful of people only. It CAN get busy though. The club at the beach side gets busy, but although connected, is quite separated from the apartments. Apartments as such are quite nice, and host all kinds and ages of people - so you should not worry about that.

Apologies for so many newbie questions. If I stay at Bora Bora Apartments (or indeed at some other place), can I go to, let's say, pool at Hard Rock Ibiza or some other hotel pool? I do not mind paying a little.

Basically, I think I will be looking for day activities - day clubs, day parties, etc.

There is an article from 2019 attached that I have posted below that I give to a lot of people - I think it is still accurate in places, but prices may be more now. It is from 2019, so maybe @W_I_C will get around to updating it (runs for cover) ;)
