Looks great, especially the latter two pics.

Have a good one!

(Guess there's nowt to do in Ibiza now that the clubs have closed  )

When are you going?
Are you going to explore Costa Brava or just staying around Empuria Brava?
Cadaqués is very nice and you can visit Gaudi's fav house. Also, if this restaurant is open it's lovely http://www.hostalsatuna.com/

BTW, Catalunya in general and Barcelona in special are very expensive re restaurants. It's hardly impossible to find a restaurant cheaper than 25€ and I'm talking about very standar food, so at midday I would take advantage of Menús

ooh Empuria Brava, my boyfriend is a regular visitor there for the skydiving.

What is it like as a holiday resort, as thinking of booking a wee break away sometime next year as a treat. Maybe get a tandem in whilst Im there.

Any good hotels anyone could recommend?

x

i'm going in chilly january and looking forward to exploring as much as possible. the great thing for me will be driving for more than 20 minutes without seeing the same cathedral three times!

If you drive from COsta Brava to Barcelona, I can suggest alternative route to enjoy the catalan countryside and avoid the so-expensive and boring motorway. YOu just need to ask ;)

i will be putting your local knowledge to good use in the future sil, thank you. btw i've driven thousands of kilometres round spain and never once been on a motorway - though i did regret this on the drive up to puerto pajares coming out of asturias!

That looks quite nice, Stephen.

I just booked our winter holiday as well... the hardest part is sitting through the next month+ waiting for it to start!

We usually avoid motorways, specially the paying one. Do you know it's cheaper a going and return flight to london than driving from Tarragona to the french frontier and then get back to south again? :?

Is the Puerto Pajares the one that takes you direction Burgos? I think we took the motorway and it was curvy and climby as hell

Looks lovely! What will the weather be like? Looking for somewhere in late December/early Jan myself.
