room ok - smelt a bit musty -

two hobs to cook on - only one worked, no kettle toaster to cook, just 2 pans n one pot

was noisey for the first couple of nights but was ok generally towards the end.

COCKROACHES!!!! my last night in the rm i encountered 3 cockroaches! managed to kill 2 but one got away and i spent my last night with the light on n with one eye opened.

we stayed there mainly for the price n found the room to be pretty big which was nice . we just went down to the beach mainly so the the room did its job perfectly , we had 2 hobs , thankfully they both worked

Read my thread 'well, it was a great holiday until....'on my thoughts.

although it was the second time I'd stayed there, this time we were robbed.

Security is dreadful.

When our keys weren't working for our room, I went to reception and said we needed new keys. he just gave me two new keys without even checking for any kind of ID.

I could have said "I need keys for room 226, or 128 or 457' and they would have given the keys to us.

When I went to get these keys, he asked me' So, how many more days are you staying?"
So, I could have just booked a room for 3 days and stayed an extra 5 and nobody would have noticed?!?!?!?"

Oh yeah, then the nights that we got our new keys, someone broke into our room and we were robbed.

Total lack of security and would never ever stay there again.

Then again this sort of thing could happen in many other places.. Had there been more security, I do not beleive we would have been robbed.

If I wanted to, I could have robbed someone there.. All I would have needed to do was go ask reception for the key to a room and they would have given it to me.

just checking we talking bout same place . Seems u got a really bad deal there im sorry to hear what happened . Is quite worrying now you've mentioned it

Thanks for posting this, I was going to book into here for my trip in May, I think i shall now go somewhere else!

sal rossa just next door would be a better bet.i know there is a few more familys ,but a dam site safer...they know who you are, better place as well.right on the beach front.top food.allround this place is spot on...

small tv/ bar aera.but great outside day/night.

i even pop in for my lunch and a few pints some nights.rooms are very good.loads of space the room i was in many years ago.and i think spotlight bookings get a fron seaview.(check i may be wrong).but last time look at site they did...

mine you leaving your keys at reception is asking for trouble..i know its a pain.but better than anyone picking them up.

if you do book this place tell the barstaff.two brothers or younger guy on reception.i told you about this place..you might not get anything.but every little helps....woody ( andie fields) mate?

We didn't leave our keys at reception.. its just that our cards weren't working, so we needed new ones.

Security was awful!

we stayed there a few years back we ended up spending most of are time in a hotel in san ann as must better feel about the place, not knocking bon sol but we found it not frendly one bit plus when you have been out all nite its like a maze walking around lookin for your run(maybe that was just me).

san an ???bon sol is in playa den bossa?.god its only two floors if that.you must of had a lot to drink that night...or most nights by the sounds of it..
