Following their last party which saw Mr V and residents John & Pablo go deep upstairs and raise the roof of a slam packed Plan B while Andy & MJ Cole got deep and dark in the basement for what was undoubtedly the best Body Music yet - this month we are joined by London stalwarts Wookie and the multi talented Modaji in the basement.
Joining our residents John Oudo & Pablo Martinez in the main room is MOBO nominated “Best Producer” and “Best Newcomer” Award Winner Wookie. Arguably one of the most talented producers to emerge from the UK underground music scene to date His unique sound and the high calibre of his productions have earnt him huge respect throughout the industry - from his time with the Soul2Soul crew up to the present day - and make him one of the most sought after producers of our time. Wookie’s latest 12’’ “Live On” feat. Lain was released with Soul Heaven/Defected. This release marks Wookie’s return to the soul roots of dance music and his drive to get closer to what people are feeling on the floor.
Whilst joining Andy Bird for another of his basement boogie session as Modaji and is one of the most respected artists in the rapidly expanding nu jazz genre. He came up under the watchful eye of Phil Asher prior to kick-starting his own career with "Starburst Over Orion." The danceable fusion of "Jeopardy" made Modaji a name to follow his full-length "Modaji" which finally arrived in 2000, "Pre-Sets" followed in 2002 cemented his place among the new London elite, and a host of remixes ensures his music does the business in clubs as well.
