Boat to Formentera?

Is it possible to drive your own boat (rented or owned) to Formentera? How far is it from Ibiza to Formentera?

yes it is , i did it with my boat,...well it depends on the boat, how big? howmany hp?....mine is 20 feet, 230 hp....it takes me about 30 minutes to formentera...

Do people boat to Formentera very often? I would expect it's mostly locals who would.

Yes, the sea between the two is quite crowed. With small boats wallowing the wake of the bigger ones.

the prices for docking in the marinas changin every year....ibiza town, marina botafoc is much more expensive than san antonio or sta eulalia....in ibiza town the prices for some boats increased up to 630%

I was reading in a local newspaper yesterday that there are more boating accidents on the stretch of water between Formentara and Ibiza than anywhere else in Spain.... just thought I'd throw that one in.
