BMI Baby drop Ibiza flights!

BMI Baby will not be running any services to Ibiza this year, from either Manchester or East Midlands.

This seems bizarre, as I flew with them 12 times last year, and each one was busy.

Does anyone know if another operator is considering launching a sevice from the NW of England, as the alternative for me is a 3 hour traffic jam on the M62 each Friday nght to get to Jet2 at Leeds?

Can one of the mods use the Ibiza-Spotlight connections to find something out?
 
An alternative

Not exectly North West but Try Doncaster/sheffield, new airport, Thomsonfly will be doing budget flights from there to IBZ from 10th June
Also look up Jet2 out of Leeds/Bradford.

It was getting to Leeds that was your problem. I didn't read last line properly.
How about Coventry or are we getting a bit far away?
 
Thanks for the Coventry info, but Manchester was just soooo convenient, as I didnt have to spend friday afternoons on the motorway.

With a little luck, easyjet or ryanair may pick up the route from Liverpool (wishful thinking?)

I had the same shock because I flew back and to with them last summer so I rang them and asked why and they said there was a problem with the new terminal in Ibiza and I asked did they think that they will be putting flights on later in the year and they said definately NOT......I used to use easy jet from liverpool but they took that route off a few years ago - it is really infuriating :cry:
