BK Rent a car?

I booked an automatic transmission car through Amigoautos and they set me up with BK Rent a Car.

Does anyone have an information about them? Are they reliable? On my form from AmigoAutos, it says that there will be "personnel of BK at meeting point in arrivals hall." What does that mean?

It was a great deal on an automatic car, so I'd hate to have to cancel my reservation because BK sucks

Nobody helped you... :(
but maybe you can help me ;)

How was it with BK?
Did you get your car quickly?

not heard of them but the above statement is as it reads. In the arrival hall at the ariport in Ibiza there will be someone in a flash uniform waving a clipboard or card or some other visible thing which i'm guessing will say "BK" on it.

I booked ... car through Amigoautos ...

Has anybody experience with "amigoautos" :?: :? :?:

Are they still alive :?:

The homepage is **** - i can´t find information about rentingconditions f.e.
if its free if you cancel your reservation etc. :?
... and these idiots don´t answer emails  :spank:

Are you sure its BK rent a car and not BC Betacar:?:

There is a link on this site to BC Betacar and they do cheap deals. I've not used them before but think I may give them a go in September. Only thing is I wont be booking in advance of going as I only tend to have a car for a few days and I don't know what days I intend to drive

I booked through Avis. At least I'm sure I'll get the car quickly and the rates are surprisingly reasonable. I'm suffering from a post-Hipercar trauma (more than 4 hours wait 2 years ago!)

I will give Amigoautos a call just to confirm my reservation and find out more about this "meeting point"

And yes, this is definitely BK Rent a Car http://www.rentacarbk.biz/

BK is a good company, but not the best.

First, it took us about 45 minutes to find the BK representative. She was not in the airport terminal and I wandered around the rental parking lot, until I found her in the furthest back corner smoking a cigarette. If you need to find her, she wears a bright green BK Car Rental polo shirt and holds a large clipboard.

Second, they tried to give us a manual car when we reserved an automatic. They didn't have an automatic available for us, so they drove us from the airport to an off-site car storage lot, where a freshly washed and cleaned automatic was waiting for us. It seems that they do not have many automatic cars available, so call them a few days before your trip and make sure that they set one aside for you. This is very very important!!! Our friends arrived late a few days and had to take a cab to our villa since BK didn't have ANY automatics on the entire island available for rental.

Third, BK was very cool about problems we had with the car. Another driver hit our rental car and BK didn't charge us at all since we brought in the police report! Also, we had a flat tire and a parking ticket and BK didn't care! It was awesome - they were very cool about all these problems

BK is good because their price for an automatic is MUCH cheaper than everyone else. But their service is pretty crappy. Then again, service in all of Spain tends to be pretty crappy so I guess this shouldn't come as much of a surprise.

I have found 99% of service in Spain to be excellent - not crappy. Maybe the service you had was dependent upon your views of the locals and/or your inability to drive a car?

No, I never had a prejudiced view of the locals. I'm not like that. And if you read my post, you would see that someone else hit our car. We did not have to pay for the damage because the police found the other party at fault. My girlfriend was driving to the airport to drop off some friends and a group of males who were coming from Amnesia (and had obviously been up all night 8O ) crashed into the rear of the car. As for the flat tire, this was due to debris from the road construction that has consumed the southern half of the island.

I just find service in Spain (and the rest of Europe, for that matter) to not be the same as you get in New York and the rest of the United States. It's simply not as attentive or quick. But I think this has to do with a cultural difference between Americans and Europeans.

Nonetheless, all the locals I met on the island very friendly and interesting people. 8)
