I tried so desparately hard to return to Ibiza for my birthday on Friday but without success. I tried the following for a reasonable price for a long weekend - Thomsonsky, Firstchoice, Thomascook, easyjet, bmi, spanair, iberia, ryanair, BA even Aurigny and AirSouthWest and then thought s#d it I'll go anywhere in Spain so tried Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Santander and then got more depressed so tried France with La Rochelle, Toulouse, Nice, Marseilles, then more desparate again with Pisa or Rome, scraped the depths with Jersey and Guernsey and finally even Dublin all without success from Bournemouth, Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, Gatwick, Stanstead, Heathrow, East Midlands and Nottingham...............................
I'm going to St.Ives in Cornwall and the forecast is that it is going to p#ss it down all weekend so I won't even be able to watch the sunset - yes it does that here as well if you didn't know - but then at my age what the f#ck, I've never yet got wet in a bar and St. Ives does have some very good restaurants (he said trying to convince himself he will have a good time).
