Birmingham clubbing

Anyone on here live in or ever go clubbing in Brum? Me and my mate went at da weekend but didn't really know much. We ended up at some place called the Works on fri nite which wasn't bad but I've seen better. Then on sat I can't mind where we ended up although we meant to go go Godskitchen at Air. We're thinking of heading back again in a few weeks. Anyone any recommendations for good clubs we should go to when we return?
 
The best tip i can give you is steer clear of broad street unless your a chavtastic blackpool lover!!!! There are a couple of nice bars up there but its generally crap. There's a place called the arcadian centre situated in chinatown thats worth a visit! There's a few bars round there that are pretty cool then just over the road you have Bambu and hidden which are on till about 4ish then there's an after club next door! For me i always like moneypennies at club HQ, its slightly out of the city centre so you'll need too get a cab but its only 5 mins. Let me know if you need a bit more info and ill help if i can... You just remended me of something I wanted to post about hidden.

On Friday night me and some friends went to the opening night of Fuel there - been loads of times before and never had a problem. It was midninght when we got there and there was no que at all (strange we thought) as we got to the door some promo woman stopped us telling us we couldnt go in. The girls were fine apparently but the guys were funky just not funky enough. WTF????? Its not like we havent been a million times before and I would have thought that being midnight and there being no que they couldnt afford to be so choosy. As we left (after a few choice words) they turned away about 6 more people. Then they'll say the night wasnt succesful and stop it running. Wot can ya do?

Rant over but we wont be going there again (and we told em so too lol)
 
I don't know who some of these dickheads think they are.. Not funky enough!!!! I hate it when the fashion police give you the once over and its normally a clown with less style than dunnes!!!!! I've seen better dressed wounds than some of the doorstaff looking down there noses at people! What a cheek!!! you should of gone round mr egg and bought some chicken missiles and made a mess of the windows.......!! :evil:

Im not sure why it was @ Hidden :?, its new home is Bambu on Fridays from now on. Perhaps it was a one off thing but i can see the door staff being the same.

Used to love going to Fuel when it was @ Bobby Browns about 3 years ago, used to go every friday and met some really nice people. It went to Polaris on Broad Street and then when Bobby's opened back up after a refurb it went back there but i never got the chance to go because we were always busy.

Im very :? about it moving to Bambu but then i wont be going to Hed Kandi for a little while now anyway as im a little bored of it again.

In response to Ulsters question - i did send a PM and he said that he liked trance and cheese so i think Broad Street is what he's after.
