Bike Rental and Tours

Hello,

Could anyone recommend a decent bike rental shop in San Antonio please? I've found this place http://www.ibizasport.com/ which seems ok, but any advice would be much appreciated!

I also wouldn't mind doing some organised tours (either MTB or road), so again, any recommendations or tips gratefully received! I know it's probably not everyone's cup of tea in the height of summer, but if anyone else is interested in joining me for a tour between the 21st and 31st August please get in touch.

Tim.

I'm fairly sure there was an article on singletrack about mountain biking in Ibiza. I'm heading out on the 29th so I could be up for a ride on the 30th.

There seems to be some decent tracks in the middle of the island. I have looked into Ibiza sport before and their tours just seemed to be bridleways and gravel tracks.

I will have a look into it and get back to you

Thanks for the recommendations kimajy, although these guys are the other side of the island right? I'll check them out anyway, cheers.

@SteveP78, thanks, assuming I get a bike sorted I'd be up for a ride on the 30th (to too early though, eh?!).

I have found a place in the middle of the island that does tours/guided rides and seems to have some good trails. Depends on what type of riding you want to do?Alternatively I am happy to do a road ride?

Oh, and no worries about heading out too early!

I have asked the wife about me taking one of my bikes and I got a very stern no so looks like I will be hiring as well!

Hi StevieP78,

I'll also mail the shop in San An, which is where I'll be staying, to see what they say. They do organised trips on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays but need a minimum of four people, but I'm not sure if you have to book as a group or just put your name down and hope enough other people do too. I'll probably end up renting a bike for the whole time I'm there to get around on and it'll be easier all round if it's in San An. Once that's sorted, getting to the middle of the island shouldn't be a problem if that's where we start from. I usually ride a cross-bike and stick mainly to cycle tracks and roads so a proper MTB track would be new for me but I'm up for either road or MTB really.

ha ha!

Just get in touch with Ibiza MTB. They'll deliver the bikes to your hotel anywhere on the island and take them back when you're done. Choice of bikes as well - talk to them and see what they manage to find for you !
