Biggest Ibiza tunes when you were there

Hey all,

Just wanted to get a feel of everybody's favourite tunes from whatever year they were on the island. It doesn't necessarily have to be a massive hit (although it can be), just something that reminds you of Ibiza and makes you smile :)

For me........

2001

Roger Sanchez - "Another Chance" (possibly number one in the UK charts at the time)

Gypsymen - "Barbatiri (sp?)" (the one that sampled the Guiness advert, and was a Todd Terry production. I think I heard this in every shop, bar and of course Mega Music across the fortnight!).

Dirt Devils - "The Drill" (I had a bit of a thing for trance at this point to, to be fair!)

2007

Samim - "Heater" (couldn't go anywhere on the Island without hearing it last year)
Axwell - "I Found You" (as above)

i like your other choices but putting this in the trance bracket is wrong, this is dave pearce trance.

Yeah 06 was all about Ame - Rej , and , Audion - Mouth to Mouth for me from what i remember and of course Dopplewhipper by Gabriel Ananda
 
yeah rej and mouth to mouth were massive also simpler by pete heller i loved and still play it a lot ... all great slow building epic tracks :)

had rej for ages buy when i first heard it in Amnesia it blew my mind man! i went crazy and all my freinds that are less educated in the techno side thought i was a nut!

where I was,

There are a lot of different places, weird as it may seem,the most popular tunes where I was hanging out most,were by - John lee Hooker,Leftfield,Johnny Cash,Stones, and one of the Jose Padilla albums,(can't remember which one at moment)...:roll: anyway, Viva Balearia...:D

Big vocal house anthem. reminds me of Mambo

Dave McCullen - I just like to call you my Bitch
Heard this tune in Space - Funky/Electro house anthem.

Guy Gerber - Stoppage time
fast and edgy- cool tune.

Coburn - We Interrupt This Program
Love the main hook in this tune- was my holiday theme of '05

Dogzilla - Without You
At the time Paul Van Dyk said it was his fave trance tune of all time- I even heard it in Space!

Marc Houle - Borrowed Gear
It took me about a year to get a track I.D. for this- awesome minimal tune.

Argy - Love Dose (Luciano remix)
THE DC10 anthem of 2005. This was the year that DC10 really blew up and became more known and this was the tune that they were all talking about...

Supafly vs. Fishbowl - Lets get Down (Full Intention club mix)
Vocal commercial house tune- reminds me of a night which I can't really talk about on here haha :)

Bob Sinclar - Love Generation
(AAAARGH! Couldn't escape it wherever I went... :( f*cking horrid)

Tomas Andersson - Washing Up (Tiga remix)
Again took a long time to get a track I.D. for this one- played alot in Space.

2006: Audion - Mouth to Mouth
Heard this in DC10 - never knew how big it would become- awesome!

Delia & Gavin - Relevee (Carl Craig remix) - Sven Vath opened every set at Cocoon to this track- the ten minute remix monster!

Dirty South Vs Evermore- It's too late
Love the chorus then the big riff kicks in!!!

Royksopp - What else Is There (Thin White Duke remix)
Heard this in the west end every night- cheesy but strangely addictive.

Chris Lake - Changes
Maybe he should do an '08 version for Ibiza this year- quite apt title what with current affairs on the white isle!

Depeche Mode - Sinner In Me (Ricardo Villalobos remix)
Slow burner with funky conga beats.

Eric Prydz Vs. Pink Floyd - Proper Education (When Armin Van Buuren who at the time claimed to have the only copy on the island dropped this at Armada - the place erupted - special memory :) )

Barbara Tucker - Most Precious Love
Big house anthem at In Bed With Space
Fedde 2 Grand - Put your Hands Up For Detroit
The tune that sent the electro fad into the mainstream- quite liked it at first but everytime I hear it now I cringe- it's been done to death :(

Paul Woolford presents Bobby Peru - Erotic Discourse
Big We Love Space anthem- cool tune!

2007: Italoboyz - Viktor Casanova,
Heard this everywhere. When Mauro Picotto played this at Meganite the whole place stopped and listened.

Ricardo Villalobos - Enfants,
His much played and talked about new tune- not bad but i've heard better from him.

Peter Geldeblom - Waiting for.
As soon as I heard this I just knew i'd be hearing it on the radio for months when I got back home... and I was right :)

Claude Von Stroke - Who's Afraid Of Detroit?
Nice tune :)

Dubfire - Roadkill
Anthem!

Chrom - Cygnet Grace (Raudive remix)
Big tune @ Cocoon.

Most of the above are excellent tunes and are well worth tracking down!

Superb choices mate :D Lot's in there that I would have in mine.

I have got Enfants on as I type this, reminds me of Villalobos at Monza and Cocoon Closing from last year 8)

exceeder by mason.. lost, eletric disco and yeah yeah were all massive that year for D Ramirez

memories flooding back :)
