Biggest Ibiza Regrets

Could be a night of passion regretted or a missed club night, or it could be that people and places have changed. Perhaps more generic like mine in that I regret when younger not travelling more and perhaps living and working on the island away from the rat race!
 
Definitely not going to DC10 in 2005, I would have got to experience the terrace uncovered and in full flow on a monday morning. Instead i wonder round the west end trying to pick up some weed.
 
Falling asleep uncovered on the beach 2 days in. The lobster look is not hot. Walked about for the rest of my time like I'd shat myself as the burn was the most extreme inside my thighs. Couldn't enjoy myself at the club later when the chub rub and dancing made the pain unbearable.

Yep i've done that one too, i took after sun to tini and the gang closing when it was at old Ushuaia. Loco Dice was smashing it and i was sat on a table raving from the waist up :cool:
 
Yep did the same myself a long time ago. Last day of a two week holiday, could not go back home without some colour, so stupidly lay out all day (was worried my mum would give me a row for coming back whiter than I went). Idiot!! Red raw. Agony in the club later until about the 12th drink. Loosened off but then was even worse the following day. Was walking like a robot and in agony for days.
 
Not keeping in contact with people I've met out there. Met a couple from Ireland who we got on well with, didn't think to exchange numbers and tried to get a message to them at their hotel (gharbi) but to no avail.

Another regret is getting in such a mess that I can't remember much, who I'd seen DJ, who I met, what time I got in etc. This year I plan not to get so mashed :D
 
....Not heading to Ibiza years before I did, only going to Manumission a few weeks before it finished at Privilege. That said have met fantastic people and had great times every trip. :-)
 
Had a ticket for we love on my first trip. My mate was tryin his luck with a bird an didnt want to go. So I decided to stay in San An cos I didn't want to go over on my own, was only young. This was the last year of the terrace with no roof and also the early starts :/ still bugs me to this day
 
One in most recent memory is leaving mid-way through Maceo Plex's set at Amnesia Closing last year. We'd long since hit a wall, and run out of cash (amongst other things). The conversation was far from flowing, and we seemed to be spending more time avoiding pick-pockets than dancing. So we headed home. I still think it was the right call, but part of me wishes we'd stayed.

Other than that I recall missing Cream closing in 2011, or maybe 2012, when my then-girlfriend decided she was too tired go. Yes, I'm bitter. Moreso to the fact we were unable to sell our tickets on. Bit of an anti-climax to our hol.

Also, in 2013 our return flights home meant that we would miss the majority of Space Closing. I remember watching Carl Cox and Nic Fanciulli on be-at.tv at work on the Monday afternoon, while just about keeping my eyes open. I imagined to make up for it in 2014 though!
 
Actually, just remembered a big one: 2013 Openings. I rushed home after Sankey's Opening Part 2 in an attempt to get back in time for We Are FSTVL.

Missed my connecting flight in Barca. Had to fork out for a new flight. Finally got to the festival gates a few hours behind schedule only to be turned away because I had a duplicate ticket (admittedly, my mistake). Battery on my phone had died so I couldn't contact anyone / log on to my emails. Ended up catching the train home, tail between legs. Spent the rest of week laid up in bed as a result of hitting it too hard in Ibiza.

Wish I'd bot bothered and just stayed in Ibiza and caught a later flight home!

This'll be scant consolation, I'm sure, but don't feel that you missed out. Yet to hear or see anyone with positive comments about it. I arrived late (3am) and thought it was "meh."
 
I think main regret over the years is when I said no to people who were going for a weekend. Looking back what was another £500 to do that when you know you'd have had an amazing time. My advice to anyone (esp those in their 20s).............. Never turn it down! You'll never look back and say "why did I go to Ibiza that time"......

In my early 30s I now go 4-5 times a year! Probably because I never got it out of my system enough! haha
