Try going to the detail patches around London, USA, also all the places important to the US military i.e. Iraq, Iran, Bejing, Kazakstan, Liberia, Moscow, etc., etc. When you zoom in, wait a bit for the data to redraw with more detail. Helps if you switch on the roads button.

Try putting in silverstone uk, after it stops you can then use the joystick controls to zoom in even further. You can get as close as around 300-400 ft depending on how blurred the image is. You can even see cars on the GP circuit.

I've been using the joystick controls instead, zooming all over the world.
