Beware Flybe scam

Appreciate that they dont fly to Ibiza but,

I booked a flight to Belfast from Manchester last month. At the end of the booking I was asked if I wished to claim back £15 and I agreed. It seemed easy enough to do as apparently clicked thru to another site.

By the time I had pushed a few yes(s) I had been put onto a company called "Rewards First" I just X ed out.

They sent me an email last week which I thought was spam. I did not read it but luckily kept it in inbox. (It was not spam and was by line 24 saying that if I did not cancel then I woould be charged 14.95 on 05/04.)

Well, the tw@ts have charged me.

So when you get the option at the end of your booking to get back £15 remember that deepseadiver says it is a scam.

Ahhh, people on the internet-always too ready to brand anything they haven't read properly and got burnt by as a scam.

I signed up to a similar site through Ryanair, got offered my first month free, included in the 1st month was £15 cashback on my 1st booking and £10 on my 2nd.

Result, my £16 booking and my mate's £12 booking cost £3 in total for 2 returns, prestwick to ibiza.

Oh, and I had no problem cancelling before the month was up so no charges whatsoever!

Its always good to hear someone's good news.

But I still think that it is a scam.

In fact, another scam by Flybe was to offer 2 return flights if you apply for and spend half a pence on their credit card.

Easy enough?

Except that when you want to book flights, they are all gone and the ones that were available back in the late nineteeth century were only a quid anyway. If you are lucky, then you have to pay all the taxes and charges.
