Best Week of my life!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posts advice for newbies like me. I did a lot of reading before I went and had the best week's holiday I've ever had!! Beach all day, Savannah and Mambo's every evening and a big night out every night! I fell in love with the place and am already planning my next trip! And, as advised, I tried a few things out of my comfort zone and loved them!!
Thursday - Cream @ Amnesia
Friday - Pukka Up @ Es Paradis
Saturday - Hed Kandi @ El Divino
Sunday - We Love Space (bikinis, flip flops and sunglasses at 4pm!!!!)
Monday - Kiss Da Funk @ Kanya (not the best!)
Tuesday - Gatecrasher @ Eden

My friend and I danced til dawn every night, fuelled only by water and Nescafe! We were asked a hundred times if we wanted any pills etc, but who needs them??!! We were grinning from ear to ear because we were just so happy and having such a great time! Can't wait for my next trip!!!:D

Now that's just great to hear. Really glad you had such a good time.

And kudos to you for doing it chemical free! (well, unless you count caffeine ;))

See you on the Space terrace next summer :D

that sounds like a really fantastic time you had!

(i've moved this to the reviews forum)

I love sober clubbing, Ibiza is great for it because the beer is so expensive and I always say I'm going to do the same when I come home, but then end up drinking again because everyone else is doing it.

Couldn't afford to drink too much!! First night at Amnesia we went up to the bar and had two Vodkas... 26 Euros!! So we stuck to water after that! Plus, we were two girlies out in Ibiza for the first time, on our own, so we needed to look out for each other! Anyway, if I'd been drunk I wouldn't have been able to shake my ass until dawn! And I wouldn't have been able to appreciate/laugh at all the mashed people dancing! Space was particularly good for that as you can watch people from behing your sunglasses! There was a little Japanese lady who was providing great entertainment. No sense of rhythm or spatial awareness whatsoever! I'm sure she must have had joggers nipple by the time she finshed bobbing manically up and down for hours!!

Sounds like you had a great time! Nice one. I recently discovered clubbing sober and it can be great but can also be gash. Driven through to Edinburgh for a couple of nights out. Saw Paul Woolford one time and had an amazing time, went through to see Booka Shade a few months later and didnt have such a good time.

Clubbing sober only really works for me if I'm with the right people. Lucky for me, I was with a great friend who loves dancing. If I'd been with my hubby, I'd have needed a drink!!!!! My big dilemma now I'm home is, where on earth can I go in the south of England that even begins to capture the happy mood of my holiday??!!

Good to hear you had such a great time.
Space and Bora Bora are probably the only clubs in the world I can happily dance to completely sober, without the slightest awkward or embarrased feeling.

Doesnt happen often mind you

the trick is to get over it in your head, once you realise that nobody is looking at you anyway you can relax more. still, it is a lot easier completely stamashed.

I didn't have to worry about the whole "people might be looking at me" thing... the women in Ibiza are so gorgeous I wouldn't have had a look in! It's enough to make one convert to the dark side!

Not quite as good as I was hoping for. I'd got that night booked in my head before I'd even booked the holiday! They played some happy clappy stuff, but there was a lot of the harder twisted stuff (well, as hard as Hed Kandi gets!!!) It was busy and hot, but not too bad. Certainly plenty of space to dance. If you like Hed Kandi stuff, my BEST night by far was Pukka Up at Es Paradis. And it's a beautiful club.
