Best time to visit in 2005?

Help needed please!
I need to see my boss asap and book time off to visit Europe in 2005. As soon as I hit London I want to dump my luggage and head to Ibiza for a week or two (I've got limited time to travel).
I haven't been before. If I had to pick a 'best week' to go, which month would be the pick? I want to club, dance on the beach, do the Cafe del Mar thing and look around for a day or two. And relax!

The main clubbing season is from June to September. I prefer June and September cos it's not as busy as August. You'll get better weather in June than September, July is a nice month, I find August too hot and the clubs are really really busy, it's hard to get a taxi etc.

The Opening and Closing Parties are June and September which are really popular with clubbers.
 
Agree with Barbie's comments, but some people like August because of the general mayhem. Ask yourself these extra questions:

What do you want the weather to be like? (there's a climate guide on this very site)
How busy do you want it? (take note of Barbie's words)
How expensive do you want it? (prices of accommodation, clubs, drinks etc. all go up in July/August)
Do you want the place to be getting going with a vibe of excitement and expectation, in full flow in a whirlwind of no-time-to-think activity, or winding down and chilling-out-go-on-then-one-last-party-let's-go-mental?

Cheers Barbie, thanks for taking the tiime to reply, much appreciated. As I've never been and want to 'see it all' (!) I'm thinking of catching the tail end of it being flat to the boards busy and just starting to wind down. Sounds like my cuppa tea.

Thanks for your reply. Will go late Aug/early Sep and get a taste for mental partying and a bit of chilling. Didn't realise drinks had seasonal price changes too!
What stands out as being an 'absolute have to do' for you there?

I always end up going in July, I´ve done all four months and July is the best - since all clubs are open guaranteed by then, its busy but not impossibly rammed - the atmosphere is great, its hot but not hot as in mid-august which can be impossible to ajust to (44+ in 2003!) and i just like it. Youll find that special clubbers people there, the cosmopolitan kind though , in august/sept where the more regular all-about-party-sun-and-.fun types of peeps in June/July. We go Late July and early august so we get a little taste of everything ;)
