Best time to book

Booked up this time last year and got a decent price for a week...looking for 10 days in July this year, everyone booked up?

I read up on a money expert website that its best to either book as early as possible as hotels will be offering discount for early bookings, or as close to when your going as possible

I usually book whenever as, flying from here, there are no discounts for booking flights early and the hotel I usually stay in has no early-booking discount

Plus, you never know when work-related issues might move your dates.

That's always my problem. Freely changeable tickets cost about grand nowadays tho' - which is completely crazy . I just book when I'm as sure as I can be a trip is definitely 'on'. That's usually the week (or the day !) before .
