Best restuarants by the sea

Oh dear, the best restaurants in Ibiza thread seems to have disapeared.

Can anyone please recommend the best sea-side restuarant on the island? There seems to be quite a few of them, but it's difficult to tell 1 from another.

Needs to be nice and romantic for mr and mrs lozza's honeymoon and for the food to be good. No expense will be spared!

Thanks, Lozza

There's a couple of belting Tapas bars right on the beach in Es Cana, and there's the Jacaranda by the Ferry stop too.

Couldn't comment about anywhere else though :)

go to the "es xarcu", its on the playa es xarcu, right to cala jondal (not so easy to find, look at the small signs on your way to cala jondal).
the furniture is very simple, but its not so touristic and you'll get there the best fish that you 've ever been eaten. Its a little more expensive, we paid 100€ for 2 persons ---> but it was great!!!!!!!!!

I've never been befor in such a good restaurant on the island, and i've tried a lot!!!!

we 've been sitting next to the small beach, there is a "yacht service" in this restaurant, so you can see 2 or 3 nice ships, too.

idea

charter a yacht, and go to formentara for a nice meal..then sail back at sunset time sipping champagne xxxxx:lol:

nice one otto. es xarxo is a really nice beach without the crowds of cala jondal just round the corner - you can swim between the two. in the same area (i was there on sunday afternoon) is es torrent which has a nice quiet restaurant at the back of the small beach

and quite nice views, which are free, too

Es Torrent is a very nice spot. It's a pebble beach with a nice restaurant and gorgeous views of Porroig (pictured above) where there's a bunch of large villas (with unfortunate high fences around many of them).

Stephen - did you take that photo above from on top of this rock??

actually, i cheated a bit by going round the corner to the falling house zone of vista alegre to take that shot. it's pretty well the same as from the beach though.

wow, the es xarcu sounds great. near where we're staying in san jose too. just 1 thing - I don't suppose you know if they do veggie or tapas food do you? I love fish, but mrs lozza is veggie.

your help is cheering me up a bit. went outside this morning and someone's nicked my scooter. gutted.

:(

that restaurant was once featured in the bbc programme passport to the sun with nadia sawalha.

The chiringito (sp?) on Cala Gracionetta does fabulous Paella, it's right on a tiny cove beach. 8)

I always miss out on my Paella - Mr PL hates it and they very rarely do a Paella for one - its always a 2 person meal (well at least to most of the Spanish restaurants I have frequented.... )

I have the same problem. Stephen hates shellfish so I never get to have one :(
