Best resort to say at with kids + Hotels?

Hi,

We are taking the kids (7&8Yrs old) for the 1 time since they were babies.

We normally stay in San Antonio but now looking for somewhere more "family friendly"

Also are there any good hotels?

We normally book budget flights and a separate budget room so we were quite shocked when we got some "package" prices.

We would quite like a hotel with a bit entertainment (or is it easy to gatecrash a hotel with entertainment) as I don't like the idea of dragging the kids around bars in the evening.
 
All resorts are good with kids. Really depends when you go . We usually go early May or October when there's less chins flying around. :)
