Best Record Shops on the Island

Hello all
Just woundering what r the best record shops on the island and where they are?
 
Mega Music in san an for me.

They know there stuff

They have most of the new big tunes
(that wont see the uk for a month or 2)

and friendly helpfull staff.
 
M15 in Ibiza Town is pretty good but it's a bit like Pot Luck what you get as it's slightly different to buying records in the UK also the same with Mega Music (you pick out yourself what you want to hear) but both normally have some real belters lying around if you want to sift thru them all. DJ beat in Ibiza town is OK as well but normally packed out and you can wait for ages to get anywhere near hearing the records you've chosen. Plastik and Mega Music in San An are probably the best ones to go to as they have a very UK dj friendly style and the boys behind the counters will sort thru the stuff you want to hear.

The only thing about buying tunes there are the prices. As they have to not only import stuff from the US and Europe but also UK stuff as well so you'll be paying bundles for tunes you can get at HMV for 2.99 or whatever...

There is a new record shop opening up just round the corner from Sgt Peppers and next to Can Vinya.

It is called Solo Records and is owned and run by Danny Graham who for the last few years worked in Mega Music. Danny is also part of Kujay Da Da.

It should be open soon. Good Luck Danny!
 
these 3 in ibiza town opened recently so probably most of you dont know them yet:

· tipo opened two years ago. the cheapest one in ibiza (is part of a big chain of record stores in spain) although they dont have much dance music. its located in c. agapito llobet (near the post office) :!:

mega music is good, does anyone remeber kujay dada - young hearts form last year, it was huuuuge, the 2 guys in mega music made it, i got one of the last 12" copies and ended up selling it on ebay for 30 quid!!
