Best nightclub in glasgow?

Hi, im new :)

Been reading for a few weeks to get an idea of ibiza (going in june) but I thought i should ask this question becuase me and a few mates are going through to Glasgow in 3 weeks for my 18th and was looking for a good club through there with good range of music and risk free (aka neds w/ knives :) haha)

So anyone got any idea?
 
I love the Sub Club but it all depends what type of music you like. You'll get Subculture on that night too which is decent house.
 
im into anythign and everything really, just as long as it isn't your typical squeeky voice chav tune! haha
 
I'm in Glasgow for a week in April, hope u have a wicked 18th mate!

Last time i was there we went to a few clubs in the city centre, don't remember the names but there WAS plenty to choose from so I'm sure you'll find something that fits your style.

i went ot glasgow for my birthday 3 weeks ago, we went the The Arches to see Paul Va Dyk and Eric Prydz.

Good intimate club i thought.
 
well dont go to the likes of "archaos" or "destiny" or "silver" or "studio" if you dont want chavved up squeeky voice tunes with chavs bouncing about tryin to bottle you :)

the arches is a very good venue its like 3 big massiveroom and there underground in tunnels, very dark and dinjy (sp?).in the arches you can expect to find really good night with diffrent types of music (depending on what night it is) from house,techno,trance etc.Hope u have a good time in glasgow

Depends what night you're going to - music styles and crowd vary greatly from one night to the next.

It's a great venue anyway but certainly not intimate - at over 1800 capacity, it's the largest club in Scotland!
 
Oh, and Paul Woolford is the special guest at Subculture, playing alongside Harri & Domenic.
 
Is the Tunnell still open in Glasgow?despite me always being in Glasgow i haven't been to a proper club in a few years:oops:

yes - a sad state now

room 1 - Hip Hop + RnB
room 2 - "Disco" house

a lot of trouble in recent times (stabbings etc)

up for sale for about £2m
