This could be a real long story, but I'll give edited highlights to save boring people.

After many years in an unhappy marriage, I met someone else - a few years younger than me, who loved dance music and longed to go to Ibiza like me. We hatched a plot to go together in secret and I finally made it to Ibiza in 2001 at the ripe old age of 40. We had a fantastic time. My first club night was Dave Pearce Euphoria at Eden and he played all my favourite stuff. I still get goose-pimples thinking about when he played PVD For an Angel and the place just took off. Fantastic. We did a few of the big clubs and got seriously wrecked - lost an entire day and I'm still not sure of the events, but it involved an encounter with a joint or two. Did a lot of the chill out bars too, which I love. Easier on the old bones. I remember we both cried first time at CDM. What a pair of wusses!

I'm divorced now and hooked up with the same girl. We go back to Ibiza every year. We always talk about going somewhere else but Ibiza has become a kind of annual pilgrimage. It makes me feel 10 years younger and believe me - I need to be 10 years younger! Its great every year, but for me it will never be quite as good as that first time. 8)
