I saw Fatboy slim when i was there live on radio 1 and he was class,
I really like paul van dyk as well, darren emerson was good too

ERICK MORILLO...SUBLIMINAL...HANDS DOWN!!!

Roger Sanchez and DJ Gee come a close second and third respectively. The Release Urself party was first rate, and Bora Bora just livens up wif funk when Gee is spinnin vinyl. However, when all is said and done, Erick Morillo had ppl eating out the palm of his hand, he dropped Thong Song...THONG SONG!!!! And ppl went nuts.

The answer to this post will more or less sum up my top 5 DJs nowdays, which are:

Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Fatboy Slim, Sven Vath, Paul Van Dyk.

All are well known half Ibiza residents already anyway ;)

ERICK MORILLO :!:

Dj Gee (Bora-Bora) has the funk too. And David Guetta did a fantastic job @Space Closings. And you can't forget James Zabiela. He is God.

Yup! ;)

Locals are class, I like Pete Gooding.

The djs are the same every year. every year theres a star tho, Lawler in 2001, Morillo WAS THE DADDY in 2002, 2003 it was David Guetta

(IMO)!!! ;)

the best for me last year was easily james zabiela @ space

the worst was pete gooding at mambo. last year was the first time i have been to the island and i had heard so much about his sunset sets, how he reacts to the sun and clouds and stuff and not once did i think he was doing that, and we spent nearly every night at mambo.

and when he has stopped playing ambient stuff and was playing stuff with a beat he wasnt even bothered to mix properly. very dissapointing.

I will never understand why Erick Morillo is so popular.

The best DJ's i saw last year were James Zabiela, Richie Hawtin, Christian Varela and DJ Aldrin.......those four were in a class of their own.

Christian Varela

did you see him on carl cox's night back in september? it was a great night weren't it.

anyway, i was a little dissapointed with christian, although pepe the space owner was clapping and congratulating him... ;)

Sasha is my choice.... 8)

"I have never understood why Morillo is so popular?"

hehehehe.... He played in Melbourne November 2003 & was responsible for one of the biggest "DJ hissy fits" seen all year. He was on the bill with Kleinenberg & refused to let him play his allocated 2 hours set because he didn't want 2b sharing the main room with a progressive DJ & basically told organisers that if Kleinenberg didn't stop playing within the next half an hour he wasn't going to play @ all!!!!!

a hell of a lot of melburnians kinda lost all respect for Morillo after that!
& his set (of Subliminal bombs  ) was pretty faaaarkin' average... dont think he will be asked back to play in Melbourne 4 some time after his "backstage performance" but majorly funny night all the same
