Best/biggest supermarket.

I know there's a couple of smaller supermarkets Eroski/Lidl etc. Is there anything a bit more substantial/plenty variety for doing a proper stock up? Going back to self catering this year and plan to knock up grub in the pad as much as we can. Staying in bossa but we'll have a hire car, having to drive a bit further to get there aint an issue. Cheers
 
I was just about to post almost the same thread! I'm going to Es Cana in August to try self catering for the first time. I've no idea about supermarkets and also will have a car so travel is no issue. I would like to know where the nearest (and best) supermarket is, thanks :)

Just save the positoon on my gps yesterday when close to that place
A local just told me that big supermarket doesnt mean less cheaper as some chain have other name eg Hypercentro fir little or bigger supermarket branded with other name even same company.same price.just forget the name:spank: for the one 1mn by feet to my place..the price of hierbas 1l 14,35€ as one in Cor jesus..

I'm more looking for choice and variety under one roof rather than having to use multiple supermarkets to find cheapest prices. Doing a couple of 'big shops' to stock up suits me rather than saving some euros.
 
I have the chance to have 2supermarkets (Mercat nou)from same chain same street so no need to look for somewhere else if in Figueretas Av de Catalunia..because of P issue,best option is to go by feet

was there 2day. really good. big parking. even with shade for the car (like @ salinasparking). inside they have nice perfectly working aircon. great fish/meat/etcpp-selection. very nice ibiza girls @ cashpoint. can recommend this place

the supermaket on main road as you go towards es viva on the right corner is very good.take a trip to santa eularia main road for butchers.and san an for fruit n veg market.supermaket across from mare nostrum hotel is very good.
 
The cheapest Hierbas I ever seen in Ibiza was the 2 liqueur stores at the Resturant street in Sta. Eulalia, much
cheaper then any Supermarkets.

2day i was in the sanan-mercadona. top supermarket, too.
great parking and you even have a panoramic view behind the cashiers when standing in line. (almost like in the airport when leaving. but no seaview)
wished supermarkets at home had such a fantastic fish-selection, too ...

Lidl starts building its third large area in Ibiza
The new hypermarket will be located on a plot in the industrial estate Can Bufí, on the road to Sant Antoni

Supermarket chain Lidl has begun construction of which will be his third large area on the island, which will probably open after the summer.
This was confirmed yesterday sources of the company, which ensured that the project is still at a "very early" phase.

The new hypermarket chain will be located on the road from Sant Antoni, at the entrance of Vila. This is a plot of 7,400 square meters located in the polygon Can Bufí, right next to the ship and bordering Graphic Pitiusas which housed the famous hall Glory's.

Work began one week ago with the explanation of the grounds of the plot, which has a house in the middle and some small stores that seem to be torn down.

Although it is at the entrance of Vila soil it belongs to the municipality of Santa Eulària. A municipal spokesman confirmed yesterday that the company Lidl already has the license granted to build the new hypermarket and is an integrated construction and activity permit.
