With soft sand, room to chill. This would be my 3rd time and never been to a decent beach, only with pebbles and an sea weed! Staying san an bay.

Gracias

Cala Bassa and Cala Compte match your description and are the closest I know to SanAn Bay. There are buses to both beaches running hourly, the taxi fare is between 10 and 15 Eur to Cala Bassa. If you've got a car it's ten minutes drive to the former and about twenty to Cala Compte.

Or get the boat across to the other side of San An for Cala Gracio. Smaller, but nice and chilled.

I really liked Es Cavallet beach this year, nice sand, not too much seaweed in the water. wasn't too busy the times we visited, was June mind you, nice food in the restaurant as well. Walk back via Sa Trinxa for food and sangria about 6pm, top chilled day and set up for the night ahead.

Another beach I liked this year is the one in Santa Eulalia, the beach where Pura Vida is, can't remember the name of it?

Thank you. Looking at the weather seems sunday will be rain. So 6 days of sun to come atleast from thursday

My fave all round beach is Cala vadella - south west of the island. A few bars / restaurants, nice sand, clear seas, an anti-jellyfish device, Bliss. Agree with the above about Cala Basa and Conte but can get a bit crowded. Cala Mastrella on the east is also a peacgul haven.

My brother is hitting up the island for the first time in September; staying in San An he wants to fit 2 proper beach days into his itinerary. But with them both being reasonably close to San An.

Which 2 would you recommend out of the following.

Cala Bassa, Cala Comte and Cala Salada.

Thanks

Cala compte cala salada

Es cavallet is a nice beach but Parking ur car is really an issue & quiet dangerous as narrow road that fit 1 car & a half, both ways (if u dont eat there in order for the restaurants's staff to book u a place, park ur car), i cant imagine in august, have to park ur car even at the supermarket and walk 30mn, adding more 15mn, if u want to reach el Chiringay
