best beach weather???

I am considering a visit next June or September.

Which of those 2 months has the most reliable beach weather? I have heard the sea water is warmer in September, but there is more chance of rain. Is that correct? I would really hate to travel all that way and have lots of clouds or rain.

Not counting clubbing considerations, are there any othe variables when considering visiting Ibiza in June vs. September? Thanks to all!
 
I prefer June. The difference in average water temperature is only a degree or two, and I think there is generally less rain.
 
motuman, I usually go late september, around 23rd, and the weather is fantastic for beach life, sunny, not too hot and very quiet.
I never had any problem on that time of the year but it's true that you have less probability of rain on june ;)
 
I will ad that in june and september the watter is cleaner than in july and august. Also is true that in september there is the possibility that rains.
 
23rd September for me - if it rains I will go in the sea - and at least it will be warm rain

here in Mallorca the weather is fine and people say that it would be like this all september. On the other side is very nice to swim when its raining. :D

Tony, I'll be arriving to FOrmentera that day :D

It's my usual time of the year to go to the island and if it rains it's usually a summer storm that doesn't last all day ;)
