Hi - what are some of the best hotels to stay at, money not being a factor? I am visiting Ibiza for 3 days with friends and we plan on mostly partying, going to the beach and if we have any energy... water sports. I've been told The Ocean Drive is a good spot, what are some others that are really nice and good for the party atmosphere?

Try going to the 'Hotel' section of this site, and do a search for 'Luxury' hotles...all of the best hotels come up.

Hope this helps 8)

Thanks, I've seen all the content on the site but haven't been very impressed with the luxury hotels (all the really nice ones seem to be inremote areas and the 4 star hotels in Ibiza City look like they haven't been updated since the early 80's). There also was no mention of Ocean Drive which has been recommended to me several times, are there any others along those lines?

Yea, hacienda looks amazing but its in San Miguel away from all the action... is that not an issue? I've never been to Ibiza and figured we'd want a nice place as central as possible... am I wrong?

general consensus on this board seems to be that "Es Vive" boutique hotel in Figuretas is top bollock.

sure someone on here has a link.

El HOtel - Pacha

Pikes is another one of those hotels that's off the beaten path (IMO it doesn't look too hot)... Is Ibiza so small that it doesn't really matter if you're close to the action?

its very small, by car you are in 20 minutes on anyplace of the island...dont matter where you are living,...

I would say its a toss up between

El Hotel, which is really nice, very modern and worth the money....(and centrally located!)http://www.baleares.com/paradise/HotelesCaracter/elhoteling.htm

Es Vive - which has very small rooms but is nice and has a good atmosphere - reasonably central - near to Space and its a 20 min walk to ibiza town.

or something great, but different right in the middle of the old part of Ibiza town...

La Ventana - gorgeous old hotel - small but beautiful....you get some cool people staying here.....very original and has amazing restaurant.
