me and my mate are thinking about going to berlin, specifically to visit berghain!

one small worry is that i read in a review that if the bouncer doesn't like the look of you he wont let you in! being from scotland i feel we may look a little different from the local and not get in!

anyone have any experience of the door policy and wether its worthwhile making the trip to berlins trendiest club?
 
I've been!...you have to go because it's amazing!
Berghain is one of the most unique places I've ever had the pleasure of dancing in. 8)
The music is amazing - especially in the Panorama bar where Chicken Lips played (Miss Kittin is a regular too apparently).
The layout is absolutely stunning (a communist styleeey warehouse that has had millions spent on it) and a function one sound system to boot. 8O
The door policy is harsh because they don't want to sell out to popularity. You'll have no problems getting in but don't smuggle a camera in.
Apparently techno is order of the day downstairs now and they host Berlin styleey (aka extreme) fetish parties there...But that's Berlin all over really - no one seems hung up on anything and it's a mixed crowd like you won't find anywhere else in the world.
Gay London for example has disappeared into a Vauxhall ghetto - you wouldn't get fetish clubbers mixing with music lovers etc.
It's bizarre but brilliant - be sure to post a review! :D

I don't know my Gran is from North Germany and she use to dress me all the families German hand me downs 8O I was a sight as a kid!
