I stayed there but it was in 2001 so the memory is a bit fuzzy.
I remember the room was not too large - very rectangularly shaped and narrow (i.e. 2 people couldn't pass each other around the bed) but decent enough. Small balcony as well.
It's quite large and had a mix of young people and older folks. We had half-board so there was your average hotel breakfast and dinner.
Seems like I remember there being a swimming pool but we never made it there.
It's a 15-20 minute walk to the West End and further up to the Sunset Strip area. That year we spent a lot of pre-party time at the bars around Bar M/Itaxa/etc., which is less than 10 minutes away.
There is a small beach across the road and up about 50 meters but it's not a very good beach. You're better off traveling to somewhere nicer. There are a few shops right around the corner though so that's useful for picking up drinks, etc.
