becks debut goal

Man U, Real, England and now Galaxy... ok, maybe not soooooo many uniforms but a valid point.
What's your damage, Chewie? ;)

And why did his opening goal have to be against DC? :(

we call football kits.

sounds like he's working for a theme park.

We call them uniforms

Just like we call that compartment in the back of a car a "trunk" instead of a "boot"

It's a different dialect ffs get over it!

You don't see the Spanish, French, etc. using the UK English terminologies. Same deal!

The exception would be the word "football" in its various transliterations, of course... but in the US that's an issue of confusion with American football. Could have been the same in the UK had rugby not taken on a new name when it split off from football.

Are we all happy that the keeper was not told 'if beckam gets an offensive kick off on the 25.0 gain line that goalbacker is to remain static during the hustle to allow positive gains for the galaxy with no come back'?

i.e he let it in deliberately?

Nice bend but crap goal tender, if ya ask me. He just stood there like he didn't even make an effort to go after the ball.

People always forget two countries separated by a common langauge. I call it soccer or football dependent on who i'm talking with. Give us yanks a chance and you will be mad that we beat you at soccer.:D;)
