Beachfront Paella

4 years ago we spent the day at a beach then finished up with some Paella at a restaurant on the beach. The paella was cooked over an open flame in the middle of the restaurant in a huge paella pan, maybe 2-3 meters wide. I remember walking up some steps to where we sat, I think everything was wood - benches and tables, looked almost like a tree house and there were umbrellas covering the tables. Very laid back place, people with kids, people in beachwear.

Trying to find this place again!?!?!? Ring a bell for anyone...I know my description sucks but I'm desperate.

If not can someone recommend a paella spot, preferably by the beach, super laid back and casual, good for group of 6 to eat, drink, laugh.

Thanks in advance.

I've seen Bigote before but we are only spending a week there and will most likely not be able to get a reservation...unless someone wants to be a sweet team player and make a reservation for me ;)

I could compensate you some how or way.

el bigote now actually has a phone so you can call to make a reservation :) PM me if you want the number. you still need to re-confirm the reservation the day before I think or show up early on the day (not sure which of both rules it was), but at least you don't have to physically go there and make your reservation a few days beforehand anymore. el bigote is of course very famous for their bullit de peix.

my two current favourite spots for paella are either maria luisa in cala vadella (see here) or then ses boques in es cubells. maria luisa might not be the most spectacular place, but their paella is a 10/10 and you have the beach right in front of you for a post lunch siesta. ses boques is a super nice place, extremely quiet and also has the sea right in front of you - plus a pebble stone beach with crystal clear water.
