Beach Bargains Busted

if you go on to playa den bossa beach,in between the playa den bossa hotel and ushuaia.where the hippy market used to be years ago before it moved.on the beach there are palms trees.they bury there stuff there as well.
mine you i can tell you now a few bars and shops in pdb store stuff for them as well.

Last year for a joke as i walked along the beach.I counted 46 of them.

actually, i'd better confess before i get our pretend graphics department into trouble. it was actually me that did the 'mock up.' i found an old photo i had of a cross with an arrow pointing at it and quickly drew in the background of the dunes of salinas using my ipad and david hockney colouring in app.

it's a fair cop guv, society is to blame

Hilarious ... and no surprise ! It's one of the reasons you see that guy with the metal detector combing Es Calo d'es Moro beach every morning between 6am and 8am .. even he'd worked it out !

carrying a tablet around with a hockney-ish app (android type) is easier on the back than a rucksack full of paper pads, paints, brushes, palette etc....but you can't ever let the real thing go.

ps. about the looky's, having had a birds eye view a few times you wouldn't believe the hiding places!

That might explain the 6 Guardia Civil vans and 6 Policia Local vans which were camped at intervals all down the road to Benirras last week and also on the beach. Never seen the like, ever - was more presence than kicking out time after Space closing in Playa d'en Bossa !!

a friend made some amazing "bargain" last week @ es trenc beach (mallorca).

normally he isn´t that stupid but he actually paid 18 (EIGHTEEN) euros
for 2 SMALL slices of watermelon
both pieces together were less than a quarter of that ****ing melon :!:

so the melon-woman came, shouting "watermelon, watermelon etcpp ..."
he asked her "how much for 2 pieces etc" and she didn´t answer, just gave him 2 pieces,
then she painted the number "6" in the sand with her finger, so that he assumed
2 pieces = 6 euros.
my friend just had a 50 euro note and gave it to her. then she disappaered
for a while pretending she had to change the money somewhere.
she came back and gave him 32 euros.
she pointed in the sand where the "6" was and said "1 is 9" -
she had painted the "6" mirror-inverted so that for him it was a "6"
but for her it was a "9".
friend said "wtf etc" i want my money back etc but no chance,
from one second to the next she pretended not to speak/understand one word of english anymore
and just went away with his 18 euros

yes but in mallorca there are police under cover beach patrols.thing is though they catch them fine them.and within a hour they are back on the beach.

He isnt related to Beans is he?! :D

So instead of buying fake goods, you can simply dig them out at night and get them for free? Sounds like a good deal! :)

I would have planted the remaining 3/4 of the watermelon firmly on her head, before recovering my 18 euro.

problem was, that he was there with his little son. so when he wanted to get is money back
and give the ****ing mini-watermelon-slices back to that watermelonwoman
she had started shouting (whatever) so that already everbody around on the beach
was staring at him what the F was going on ...

... He isnt related to Beans is he?! :D

who knows ?!
but he did even more silly things
f.e. "on the paper"/theoretically he had booked 7 days.
but he had most stupid flght-schedule possible = arriving late at night on day1
and having to leave ridiculously early on day 7 = so only 5 days left.

last day he was so ****ed up because he had to get up at 4.30am (!)
that he didn´t find the rentalcarcontract and had forgotten about the tank-regulation.
so he thought it was full/empty - but at airport he was told actually it´s full/full -
so he was charged an extra 80 euros

Bugger, I've spent that last 8 hours looking for a big black cross and arrow, 8O

... Down at trendy Las Salinas beach local police were puzzled when every time they stopped
and searched the gangs of looky looky men selling fake goods, they never found any!
The Guardia Civil's Seprona (they look after the country's flora and fauna,
and Salinas is a nature reserve)) squad were called in to investigate.
They observed that the clever looky looky men were burying their stash in the sand dunes
each day as they left, and returning the following day to uncover ...

... More than 60 people attended yesterday morning in a cleanup day
in Ses Salines and Cavallet found a dozen hideouts supposedly built by street vendors
to cover their wares
in summer, according to Juan Cardona, Ibifor company.

The larger hole was a meter and a half deep, eight feet long and five feet wide approximately.
Two men were placed in one of the caches, located in the dune area behind the restaurant
Sa Trinxa, for their ability.

The holes were covered with sheets, many parts of the billboards of bars and restaurants
of Playa d'en Bossa (allegedly stolen).
Also, people who use covered their hideouts with sand to hide.
The Sant Josep Local Police and Civil Guard discovered some of these caches last summer,
according to the attorney for Ibifor said that, like other participants in the conference,
I was surprised by the large number of holes found.

Three brigades cleaning
The work began at nine o'clock. Volunteers Ibifor workers (which owns most of the land
surrounding the salt) and the bars and restaurants in the area, belonging to the group
of business owners and the Natural Park of Ses Salines, divided into three groups.

The first combed the beach of Ses Salines, from Sa Canal to the dune area that is next
to the sea. The second patrol worked from this point to the tower de ses Portes
and third, the largest, began at La Escollera, the beach is swept and wiped Cavallet dune
and forest area situated between the two beaches.

In total, the three teams picked up in almost five hours of work over 90 large bags of trash,
which introduced all kinds of trash and debris.
Found cardboard, wood, plastic, refrigerators, chassis motorcycles, bicycles,
an inflatable doll and even a gun, to be presented to the security forces
to see
if ammunition or blanks.

... "We are excited by the cleanup day, because we have gathered a lot of waste,"
said Juan Cardona. "However, we are concerned about increasing street vending.
They are organized mafias.
They get so many benefits that sometimes are faced
with employees sunbeds and restaurants. We need permanent police presence
in ses Salines' concluded Ibifor seized.

Indeed, the increase in the number of vendors on the beach last summer
was one of the reasons that led to Ibifor and entrepreneurs Cavallet ses Salines
and organize the cleanup day, as they considered trash had accumulated more than
other years, as well checked yesterday.
"It was pitiful to see how everything was, especially around the beaches and dunes,
wooded areas," said Cardona ...
