Recommendations LEEDS

No wonder you posted this.

I cant find the listings anywhere, they really have gone back to basics!

On a similar note, I am off to Leeds on 18th June. Any pointers ? (Weluvibiza?)

Can anyone recommend quality bars, clubs eateries in Leeds?

Depends on what you want food wise, http://www.thelivingroom.co.uk/venues/leeds/ is a nice ambient place to eat and surrounded by lively bars, something for everyone on the menu.

There is a La Tasca tapas place but we had a shocker there, to the extent I wrote a bad review for them on a website:oops:

For Italian and a generally nice area, http://www.casamiaonline.com/ in millennium square is fair with a great vibe.

In similar area indoors at The Lights is;

There are probably nicer places to eat but these are where we have eaten in the past twelve months and had a nice meal with good service and nice vibe.

Bar wise, as above, Greek Street area, Millennium Square. Mook down near Boar Lane used to be faultless for pre clubbing but has gone more mainstream but is a reasonable pre-club bar. Round the corner from Mook are loads of hip bars but they do get very very busy later evening. Basically there is a fantastic mix of bars of every type from spit 'n sawdust real ale joints to trendy wine bars that are popping up all over.

Crispy Duck could have given you a much better list of 'in' places as my nights out are limited to a few times per year since the children arrived!

As for clubs, Backtobasics for me everytime, great crowd and especially in summer the outdoor area is fantastic for chilling and chatting in-between dance sessions.

B2B don't make it easy for people wanting to visit the city, I have to admit. The website shut down a year ago, facebook friends are at max level of 5,000 etc
