raco verd moves into winter mode and winter quarters (it moves inside the shop next to it) and kicks off the cool season next thursday 16th nov with those hard rockers from hereabouts can raia. paco fernandez will also continue his friday night residency - well worth seeing in this warm intimate venue - and there's a rumour that the live jazz evenings will move to sundays. good news for me!

just a quick update on raco verd. can raia, consumate professionals they are have announced that they haven't practised enough lately - i assume they mean practised getting the words to 'highway to hell' wrong - and will not be able to play for about 3 weeks. in their stead 'blues dave' and his band will be at the venue on thursday and i'm sure the raias will be there boozing for san jose (a skill at which they require little practise). see you there?
