I'm going in July and just need a quick idiots guide to the city.

Basically: Best areas to stay

If you search by areas, choose Eixample, Barri Gotic, Raval, Born.
If you select Eixample, send me a pm with the details cos you may be in the middle of nowhere

have a look at my pics mark, i posted them recently.

if you're not bothered abotu hotel class/style, get on expedia or lastminute.com and jsut book a 3* affair, which will do the job fine.

to get around use the metro, buy a t-10 (like a carnet on the french metro) and you get 10 metro rides, the metro is really easy to use.

i can recommend a few restaurants also depending on budget, and silvia can provide the spotlight tried and tested restaurants.
 
just booked my flight - 7th July : 12th july.

£245 for me and the boss, not bad i thought. Just need to find ahotel now. Thanks for your help!

me and mark stayed in the hotel atrium palace for or honeymoon. it was really central and had a metro pretty close by. The room was a good size and the hotel has a small swimming pool and steam room which was nice except for the 16 year olds who were trying to shag each other. we didnt go for bed and breakfast there cos so many nice cafes to eat in.
