Can anyone advise where's the best location to stay to be near all the action? Silvia?

Very central, just off Ramblas set in a nice square with a church and cool bar/restaurant next door.

Clara we've booked an apartment just off Las Ramblas for New Year, Sil gave us some really good sites cos with an apartment you've got the benefit of lounge area, microwave etc.

I'd like to go to Sonar, I've heard quite a few people say that they'd choose that over a holiday in Ibiza now.

I don't think it could be compared, IMO
Sonar is all about electronic music and multimedia art and Ibiza is about clubbing.

Sonar it's anything but comercial, daytime concerts usually are very experimental and you always have a big concert like Massive Attack, Kraftwerk or even Bjork or Sonic Youth
