Barcelona this weekend

Mrs has kindly booked a weekend away as a surprise birthday present. Have a few ideas of places to visit but looking at music options. Would have been good if Elrow was on but doesn't seem to be an event planned this w/e- any suggestion on night time areas to visit bars/clubs etc There seems to be a daytime event on Sunday Piknic Electronik- anyone visited it?

Yes, I can recommend it. Nice party, cool location, but it was a bit overcrowded last August. Moreover a small market with small brands and hand-made stuff.

Picknik is a really cool, friendly place to hang out in the sun but the sound up there was shocking last year! Was like hearing someone playing 128kbps! Elsewhere in BCN , if you want commercial, head to port olimpic for pacha etc, if you want straight up techno, go to moog, if you want electro/disco go to sala apolo or barts, if you want big name international djs, go to razz. So much else too. I quite like sidecar too when they put an electronic night on. Barcelona totally rocks at the moment
